About us
Who we are and how we came to be in this beautiful place Farewell Harbour Lodge is proudly owned and operated by the McGrady and Brockway families, who both have deep roots on the coast and in the tourism industry. Their paths crossed in 2016 when they became business partners and good friends, united by a shared passion for wild places, adventure and the stunning beauty of the BC Coast. Together they set out on a mission to create a first-class wilderness lodge, and their journey at Farewell Harbour Lodge began!
The lodge had everything it needed to be a truly exceptional retreat - access to amazing wildlife, pristine wilderness, a protected anchorage, and a beautiful West-Coast-inspired lodge on land. In the winter of 2016, Ryne’s floating structure from Bones Bay Lodge was relocated to Farewell Harbour and connected to the land-based lodge by a series of walkways and ramps. We rebranded as Farewell Harbour Lodge and offer guests a unique and charming blend of land-based and floating accommodation. While the story of Farewell Harbour Lodge has already been filled with incredible memories, we are excited to see where this journey continues to take us!
